BATANG KALI – The search-and-rescue operation for victims of the landslide tragedy at the camping site of Father’s Organic Farm in Gohtong Jaya here, which has entered its third day, has been halted due to rain.

Hulu Selangor police chief Supt Suffian Abdullah said the search-and-rescue operation would continue at 8am tomorrow depending on the weather conditions.

“The search-and-rescue operation to search for nine more landslide victims has been postponed tonight and will resume at 8am tomorrow following unsuitable weather conditions,” he told reporters at the incident location tonight.

So far, 24 victims were confirmed dead. 61 were rescued, while nine are still missing in the incident. – Bernama, December 18, 2022
